heard this story today....
at a triathlon race, the swim leg will usually will be the 1st. usually the standard distance for the swim leg would be 1.5km. so at last year's osim triathlon, there was this guy who took part, and decided to give up the race during his swim. so since he was half-way thru, he swam back to the shore. upon reaching the shore, over-enthu officals apparently went to yank his championship tag (the athletes are required to wear the chips to track their movement in the race) off his leg, and draw a big cross on his shoulders(the place where the race id would be written on). super embarassing to the competitior right? like branding him as a loser who give up easily.
so i was thinking... shouldn't this be termed as Racism???? the over-enthu officials are acting like well, Racists.
so tada! a new meaning to the word 'Racism' is born!
